Welcome to my page
Hi,
I would like to wish you a warm welcome to my website.
My name is Tony Gardner, I'm an emerging Artist who began painting around March 2020 during the first COVID 19 lockdown in the UK.
Art was always something I was interested in growing up and any chance I got to be creative I was in my Element.
From around the age of 8, I would create my own comic books, mostly comic versions of my favourite movies at the time.
When I reached my late teen years and early 20's my creativity changed and I found a new hobby in Film making, this is something I still do to this day, mainly Low Budget Horror movies.
I'm now a little older and still learning the art of film making.
Anyway going back to around March 2020, my good friend said she wanted to try her hand at painting, she bought some cheap acrylic paints and began creating.
She had never painted in her life and her drawings were stick figures, so frustratingly she asked me for some help knowing I had a little experience with mainly drawing, I began giving her little tips how to draw things like people's eyes and noses.
Soon I found myself doodling even more and thought I would also buy myself some cheap Acrylics.
The bug had hit me again after all those years, I had forgot how much I loved creating art and I was also taking really well to using the Acrylic paint which I had never used before .
I began posting my work up on my personal Facebook page just for my friends and family to see.
Very soon after I displayed my work I was getting many requests to do paintings for my family and friends.
Eventually friends of friends began to see my work and I got my first commissioned peace to do of a family pet.
Since then, I've had some great sales from my work, I feel that keeping busy painting and taking on these jobs has really helped me grow as an Artist and I really feel I'm continuing to improve with each painting.
To read the Joy from someone's feedback is a fantastic feeling when they receive their artwork.
I'm very happy to share with you on this website my Journey so far.
Best Wishes Tony Gardner
